Finished

John 19:30

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Things change when you realize it's already finished.

In my own life, I have to come back to this often.

God has the ability to work things in and outside of time, for my good. He breaks past limitations, and holds every detail in His hands. I only need to trust Him and be so close to His chest I can hear His heartbeat.

God is so good and wonderful. He is great, powerful, almighty, and knows all things. He loves us beyond our comprehension and desires time with us so much He has placed His spirit here to be around us at all times. As Christians, He took one step further in placing His spirit inside us.

The Father sent Jesus to redeem mankind back to Himself. We aren't alone, we aren't helpless, or hopeless. The One who created us calls us by name and we are now one through Jesus, the Anointed One.

Do you think God can mess up? Do you think He could make a mistake? Despite how we may feel in life at times, the answer is no. God doesn't make mistakes. He only forgets one thing, and it wasn't His plan for you. He forgets sin. He doesn't only forgive it, He forgets it even happened, and helps us to navigate next steps.

Isaiah 43:25

“I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.

So this in mind, why do we feel like important details of our life are missing? Like in the grand planning stage, God forgot to add in something? That maybe He didn't account for this thing you got going on right now.

Or in some way God is surprised and this situation came out of left field of the universe and God is just starring at Jesus, like "oops, didn't see that coming."

It makes me giggle just typing this, but NO. We may never say these crazy things but our life reflects the lack of confidence. We may never ask God these things because deep down our born-again spirit knows it's silly. Of course God seen this coming. He may not have planned it into your life, but He will always provide for you through it.

Let me drop this on your lap, at the cross when Jesus said "it is finished" and died. That same moment is when the veil at the holy temple, was torn from top to bottom. The place that the presence of God dwelled, His power, His anointing, [which only very few people had permission to go into], it was split wide open and everything released. It's not coincidence that Jesus said what He said and what took place after.

The finished work of Christ started with His death and ended with His resurrection, but in-between; we gained access to God Himself. This is key.

So the areas in our life we haven't seen breakthrough, or this situation coming out of left field that you don't know how to handle or navigate, we have the key. The finished work. God Himself is in us, ready to guide, speak wisdom, open doors, turn lights on, and to walk us into the next season of life, and then the next.

Life doesn't have to just take our legs out from under us and us end up with our breath knocked out of us. We can trust God, that He knows what He's doing, He meant what He said in His Word, and He will guide us throughout the day and into the next. And we won't always be dodging punches, but finding where our next blessing will be.
